Pricing
Our Publishing Model and Fees
Kitsap Publishing is a non-pay-to-publish publisher. We review manuscripts for acceptance and invest in the books we select. Under our traditional publishing arrangement, authors do not pay a publishing fee for the book design, production, and distribution covered by their agreement. Authors earn royalties from book sales.
Certain services and purchases may carry separate costs. These can include optional audiobook production, printed copies ordered for personal use or events, shipping, and additional services outside the scope of the publishing agreement. Costs depend on the project and the services requested.
We believe authors should understand what is included and what may cost extra. Any separately charged work should be clearly described and priced before it begins, with the publishing agreement defining the responsibilities of both author and publisher.
